Dave Dunckley confirmed as CEO of Grant Thornton UK LLP

Commercial focus to be on three core markets of large and complex clients, mid-market clients and public services. Firm’s unique Shared Enterprise and culture built around a strong purpose continues as a key strategic focus and market differentiator.

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP today (19th November) announces that Dave Dunckley has been ratified as its new CEO elect, subject to regulatory approval.

Dave began his career at Grant Thornton in 1998.  His most recent role was on the Strategic Leadership Team, with responsibility for growing the firm’s presence in London with mid-market businesses. These currently represent around 60% of the firm’s clients, with Grant Thornton acquiring more mid-market customers in 2017/18 than any previous year.  Prior to this he led the Transactions Advisory business in London.

Creating an organisation which powerfully connects a clear social conscience with commercial growth will be central to the development of Grant Thornton’s purpose under Dave’s leadership.  The firm’s Shared Enterprise approach, still unique in professional services, will continue to be a differentiator in the market. This is built on the fundamental premise that if people share their ideas and take responsibility for delivering on them, the firm will grow and they will have a share in the superior profits generated.
