In times of uncertainty, stress and distress, we work with management teams, owners, investors and creditors to protect and realise value in difficult situations.
Our team of 42 partners and directors and over 200 staff in the UK work on the largest and most complex restructuring and insolvency projects in the UK, Europe and internationally.
Creditor advisory – as the mid-market leader, we advise banks, asset-based lenders, debt funds, guarantors and other creditors, providing independent business and cash flow reviews, estimated outcome statements, options analysis and accelerated M&A services. In multi-creditor situations we provide complex financial modelling solutions, entity priority analysis, common platform information reports, restructuring valuation and fairness opinions.
Contingency planning and administrations – working with management teams, regulators, investors and creditors to develop practical and commercial wind down, closure and trading contingency planning, including pre-pack and company voluntary arrangement assistance. We have one of the largest insolvency teams in the UK and regularly handle multi-site and international assignments.
Corporate restructuring – working with management teams, investors and new owners via debt-to-equity swaps to develop strategic plans, right-sized cost bases, implementation initiatives and new corporate structures.
Financial services restructuring and insolvency – our five partners and specialist team in London are focused on providing services and solutions to investors, lenders, management and regulators to stressed and distressed companies in the banking, insurance, consumer lending, asset management and funds sectors.
Non-performing loans and special situation funds – working with governments, regulators, banks and asset managers to help them prepare for a disposal of portfolios. We also assist new investors on their diligence processes and subsequent realisation and management actions, and special situation funds in identifying and investing in new distressed opportunities.
Pensions advisory – working with the trustees of defined benefit pension schemes on their covenant considerations, in particular in relation to corporate transactions and restructurings. We provide advice to corporates on pensions related transactions and integrated risk management of their pension assets and liabilities.
