I bring a valuable perspective to clients, combining my experience of working at regulators with my economic expertise.
I lead much of the financial services work in our economic consulting practice, focusing on clients who are navigating complex regulatory challenges. I bring a unique perspective from my time as a senior economist at both the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Payment Systems Regulator, where I developed deep expertise in market analysis and regulatory strategy.
I lead complex regulatory reviews, including market study interactions, fair value assessments, and distribution chain assessments for major financial institutions. I'm highly-proficient in stakeholder engagement and work with senior leaders across the financial services sector to build consensus on intricate regulatory matters.
I'm also a skilled competition economist with extensive experience applying competition principles to regulatory and market contexts. At Grant Thornton, I've worked on a number of competition matters, including market definition exercises and follow-on damages estimation.
During my time at the FCA, I worked on several market studies across the insurance and consumer credit sectors and was the project lead for the Credit Information Market Study. I also contributed to competition assessments across multiple sectors, helping shape policy and industry practices.
My particular areas of interest include consumer credit, credit information, insurance, Consumer Duty, payments, and retail banking. In 2023, I was invited to speak to the International Committee on Credit Reporting at the World Bank on the future of consumer-credit reporting in the UK.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through pilates and yoga. I also love travelling, particularly exploring destinations across Africa, and I'm always looking for suggestions for off-the-beaten-track places to explore.
