I have been a partner at Grant Thornton since 2003, specialising in advising banks and their customers on the many intricacies in business, management and financial risk providing constructive, practical and preventative solutions for businesses in difficulty.
My experience is wide ranging covering corporate finance, investigations, due diligence, financial and operational restructuring and advisory work. I have led in excess of 50 business reviews over the past five years, which included identifying and developing financial restructuring opportunities, supported by a combination of capital raising, disposal of non-core business and strategic change. In addition I have experience in M&A work, IPOs, MBOs and enterprise valuations.
My principal sector experience is within the print, leisure and private healthcare sectors. I am head of the healthcare industry sector team within Grant Thornton.
I was recently nominated in the HealthInvestor Power 50 Awards, recognising the most influential leaders for the healthcare industry. I won Turnaround and Transformation Adviser of the Year at Institute for Turnaround Awards in 2014 for our work on Kodak, following my success as an Financial Restructuring Award winner 2012 for my work in the Southern Cross Healthcare Group Plc restructuring.
When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, running and rugby.
