Abigail Fisher

As Chief People Officer and a member of our Strategic Leadership Team, I lead Grant Thornton UK’s people strategy and play a central role in shaping the culture, leadership capability and employee experience that will support our firm’s long-term ambitions. My focus is on building an inclusive, high‑performance environment where our people can grow, thrive and have meaningful impact.

I bring more than twelve years of senior HR leadership experience from international professional services environments. Before returning to Grant Thornton, I served as HR Director at Eversheds Sutherland, where I led major change programmes, post‑acquisition integrations and cultural transformation initiatives across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Earlier in my career, I gained extensive experience working across diverse global markets, developing high‑performing teams and delivering strategic people programmes that support organisational growth.

My approach to leadership is grounded in energy, transparency and collaboration. I’m passionate about building cultures where people feel supported and challenged, and where inclusion is embedded in how we work every day. Throughout my career, I’ve championed initiatives that have broadened diversity, increased female representation at senior levels and strengthened opportunities for colleagues to develop and succeed.

I began my professional services career at Grant Thornton, so returning to the firm feels both meaningful and motivating. I’m committed to helping shape a people experience that evolves in step with our ambition and ensures Grant Thornton remains a destination for talented people who want to grow their careers.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, walking, travelling and spending time with my family, including my two daughters. They are my greatest source of perspective and inspiration.
