Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with an experienced and diverse background in real estate research, market research or credit analysis. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of client work providing high-quality research, analysis and market intelligence to support client pitches, proposals, thought leadership, opportunity generation and strategic targeting. Working close with REA colleagues, you will help ensure the team remains ahead of market trends, is informed by data-driven insight and continually raises its profile both internally and externally.
A look into the role
As a Real Estate Business Development Analyst you will:
Business Development & Origination
- Deliver targeted research and analysis to support pitches, proposals and go to market initiatives.
- Identify commercial opportunities through horizon scanning, sector monitoring and analysis of market activity.
- Prepare concise briefing packs on companies, sponsors, investors, lenders and sector themes to support business development activity.
- Through the value-added research you provide you will help the team win new business.
Market, Sector & Deal Intelligence
- Maintain up to date knowledge of real estate capital markets, debt & equity capital markets, lenders, investors and sector trends.
- Monitor transaction activity, refinancing events, capital raising, market signals and competitor movements.
- Produce regular market updates and insights to support client conversations and sector strategy.
Knowledge Management & Thought Leadership
- Support the development of thought leadership, client insights and marketing collateral.
- Maintain internal databases, including credentials and case studies, working with other sector analysts and marketing colleagues.
- Use research tools, AI and automation to improve depth, speed and quality of analysis.
Internal Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with REA colleagues to help develop a proactive, sector driven go to market strategy.
- Collaborate with the sector analyst team across GT to ensure insights are shared, coordinated and aligned.
- Support events, campaigns and relationship‑building activities with clients, prospects and intermediaries.
Execution Support
- Provide analytical and research support to ongoing engagements, where relevant, to enhance client deliverables.
- Contribute to internal reporting, pipeline analytics and practice management activities.
The minimum criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Prior experience gained in research, real estate advisory, credit analysis, investment banking, corporate finance, restructuring or a similar analytical environment
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting financial data and market information
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to distil complex information into clear and concise insights
- Excellent commercial awareness and interest in real estate and financing

- High level of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to drive tasks through to completion
It is worth noting that this is not a transaction execution role, but a key operational and analytical role working closely with the execution team.
