Get to know us, and our clients and start learning more about yourself. Whether you join us in Audit, Tax or Advisory, our three-year programme will take you from graduate to professionally qualified, opening up a world of opportunity for you.

Of course, studying and working at the same time can be tough. But if you are working hard and delivering the focus and quality we expect, we’ll be working just as hard to back you. And you’ll soon see that starting your career with us is full of rewards.

What you'll do

Our three-year graduate programme will take you from graduate to professionally qualified, opening up a world of opportunity. With the scale and variety of clients we work with, no two days are the same at Grant Thornton, whether you join us in audit, tax or advisory.

Over your three year programme you will:

  • Pack in lots of learning and new experiences, as well as studying for your exams.
  • Help us provide high quality business advice to clients all over the world.
  • Gain cutting-edge skills and knowledge working on a variety of exciting projects.
  • Interact with senior business figures early in your career.
  • Enjoy being part of a dynamic global firm driven by independent thinkers.

Who you'll work with

From fintech and consumer markets, to public sector and not for profit – you’ll work with organisations of different sizes, in different sectors, and in many different countries. Giving you a better understanding of the complete business lifecycle and an exhilarating mix of experiences.

What you'll get out of it

During your three-year programme, you'll study towards a qualification (under the umbrella of an apprenticeship). And we’re there for you. You’ll need to be focused, committed, and organised as a trainee, to balance your study and work requirements. You will be provided with study leave to help you complete your professional qualification but you will also find you need to study in your spare time outside of your working hours. Completing a professional qualification is a substantial commitment and it's worth taking this into consideration before applying.

Who we're looking for

We’ve set ambitious growth targets for the firm, and we need the right people to help us achieve these. We’re looking for people who will bring ambition and drive to their role. In changing markets, we need to be able to work at pace, be adaptable to change and to be curious, asking questions of ourselves, each other and our clients to ensure we are delivering the services and quality we expect.

We’ve got a flexible approach to academic entry requirements, and we’ll consider these alongside your strengths and motivations. We’re looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas and go beyond expectations. People who want to be able to proudly do what’s right, for the firm, our clients, our people and themselves.

    We're taking positive action

We want to make the way we recruit at Grant Thornton inclusive for anyone who wants to apply. So, if you need them, we’ll make reasonable adjustments to any stage of our recruitment process. This could be adapting the format of the application form, for example, or adapting the way we interview. To request an adjustment, or discuss the options, contact us at traineerecruitment@uk.gt.com or call one of our offices and ask to speak to a member of the trainee resourcing team.
