As Operational Resilience Director, you will lead our Internal Audit proposition in this critical area, ensuring our clients are equipped to withstand and recover from operational disruptions. You will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a proven track record in managing client relationships, driving business growth, and leading a team of specialists. Your role will encompass oversight and review of client engagements, strategic planning, and continuous improvement of our operational resilience offerings.

A look into the role


As an Operational Resilience Director within our Financial Services Business Risk Services practice, you will:

  • Lead delivery of our Operational Resilience Service for Internal Audit and grow an operational resilience team to support all business development and client engagement delivery requirements.
  • Lead and oversee the operational resilience Go To Market initiatives across client functions and support SME resourcing for assurance engagements
  • Lead and oversee client engagements on the development and implementation of operational resilience frameworks, strategies and methodologies in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide SME advice and support to clients in enhancing their operational resilience capabilities, including business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, crisis management and incident response.
  • Conduct independent assessments of clients’ operational resilience frameworks, identifying areas of improvement and recommending effective solutions.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an Operational Resilience Director, the minimum criteria you’ll need is extensive experience in operational resilience and internal audit within the UK financial services sector. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • A deep understanding of the recent operational resilience regulations published by UK and European Financial Services regulators and relevant industry good practices.
  • Experience of managing a large portfolio of internal audit clients.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex operational resilience engagements.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships up to and including the C-Suite and leveraging these to identify business opportunities.
  • Demonstrable ability to constructively challenge senior management and obtain buy-in to address areas for improvement relating to their operational resilience framework.
  • Demonstrable ability to present on operational resilience to senior governance forums (e.g. Risk and Audit Committees)\.
  • Knowledge of broader Third Party Risk Management experience including supply chain resilience experience would be advantageous
