The Valuations team has wide experience in valuations of private companies.
We serve enterprises of all types and sizes, covering a wide range of industries. We believe valuations should not be made as the result of a mechanical process alone. We use a variety of methodologies and techniques in deriving a valuation, but we also exploit our experience and apply our judgement to give our clients the quality of valuation advice they demand. As each valuation is unique, valuation work requires a high level of adaptability, flexibility and innovation, which we pride ourselves on being able to offer.

A look into the role
As an Associate Director within our Valuations team, you will:
Play a pro-active role in the management and development of the department
Develop and maintains own business and personal network from which referrals are received
Actively participates in and supports department marketing and act as an ambassador of the department and firm
Be aware of the wide range of services the firm offers and suggest innovative products whilst pro-actively identifying cross selling opportunities
Develop new business and closes sales opportunities
Proactively seeks out business development opportunities
Develop and use an extensive and active internal network which crosses geographical and client service boundaries and generate leads
Take responsibility and ownership of the client relationship at the appropriate level in the client's organization
Apply technical expertise to effectively manage all aspects of allocated assignments
Manage complex client assignments that are sizeable in both scope and scale from end to end including drafting reports
Act as primary point of contact with the client on all day-to-day matters connected with the assignment
Build a trusted relationship with client employees and other advisors
Take full responsibility for the development and finalisation of the reporting document
Ensure the assignment is properly resourced and tasks are properly identified, allocated and supervised
Gain an understanding of the client’s business issues and a thorough understanding of its' market
Be an approachable and respected member of the team who takes a proactive interest in the team's performance and wellbeing
Ensure the effective allocation of resource for assignments, proactively maximises efficiencies and provides development opportunities to the team
Manage, motivate and coach team members by inducting effectively and providing feedback through regular communication and timely performance review
Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, liaising closely with Managers
Proactively manage own career, seeking out opportunities to work on a variety of assignments to build on existing experience
Attends workshops to develop technical and personal skills; takes proactive steps to develop self-awareness and performance (e.g. psychometric profiling; 360 degree feedback and development centres if appropriate)
Assist partners in establishing and delivering team objectives
Lead valuation training for the team; review work of others
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as an Associate Director, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to have:
ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
Valuations experience suitable enough to be considered as an Associate Director

A confident and highly motivated individual who has a strong academic background, with client facing work experience.
A detail orientated professional with strong analytical skills combined with an ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
An individual with experience of valuing intangible assets for financial reporting purposes and impairment testing analysis
An individual that is comfortable working independently using their own experience and initiative but also managing subordinates, working towards delivering high quality written valuation reports
