Global Mobility Manager – Permanent

The Global Mobility team forms part of the firm’s Talent & Recruitment (resourcing) function and is responsible for enabling international working opportunities and supporting the movement of global talent across the GTIL member firm network. The team ensures that global mobility activity is delivered effectively, compliantly and in a way that enhances both business outcomes and employee experience.
As a Global Mobility Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and leading the firm’s global mobility offering. You will work in partnership with the business to design and deliver mobility solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

A look into the role
As a Global Mobility Manager, your role will involve:
Strategic leadership and programme delivery:
Designs, leads and continuously improves global mobility programmes that support business objectives and sustainable organisational growth. Core elements of this deliverable are:
Leading the design and implementation of global mobility programmes for the service lines that align with business strategy
Ensuring alignment of frameworks, messaging and processes across the organisation by working with internal teams to ensure reporting and compliance remains accurate and up to date
Providing guidance to support to outbound and inbound assignees, including management of channels and platforms that enable cross connection and community
Overseeing the internal process and external supplier management for the renewal of visa sponsorship for the firm’s sponsored employees
Core service delivery and operational leadership:
Oversees and continuously improves the delivery of global mobility support, ensuring a high-quality, efficient and compliant service across all activity.
Providing oversight and management of end-to-end global mobility activity, from recruitment campaigns through to assignment completion
Supporting Global Mobility colleagues with their operational delivery of the core elements of the service: international assignments, visa renewals, and associated sponsorship activity are delivered accurately and in line with deadlines
Conducting and managing the firm’s consultation process around client placements and secondments for specific employee types.
Reviewing and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk and improve assignee and sponsored employee experience
Working closely with the firm’s immigration specialists to manage timelines, compliance and cost, providing direction, oversight and direction on complex cases
Collaborating with Talent & Recruitment, People Services and Security Vetting and/or other internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of international hires
Stakeholder engagement and business partnering:
Consistently engages with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide commercially focused mobility solutions.
Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor on global mobility matters
Building relationships with counterparts in other GTIL member firms, collaborating and providing guidance and specialist knowledge where global mobility experience is limited
Overseeing the production of regular reporting on global mobility and immigration activity, providing insights to stakeholders
Proactive stakeholder and supplier management, including the provision of clear communications on processes, time frames, costs and expectations
Monitoring supplier performance, costs and service delivery to drive continuous improvement
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs and enhance the international assignee and sponsored employee experience
Operational oversight and service excellence:
Provides oversight and direction to ensure a high-quality, efficient and compliant global mobility service.
Overseeing the delivery of global mobility activity (international assignees and sponsored employees), ensuring consistency, quality and compliance
Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver a supportive and seamless assignee experience
Driving continuous improvement in processes, policies, strategy and core service delivery
Ensuring alignment across all aspects of global mobility operations, including the monitoring and reporting of outcomes

Joining us as a Global Mobility Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
Significant experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Resourcing or a related People function, including experience with working with specialists around the taxation requirements for international assignees.
Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders in a complex organisation
Strong knowledge of UK immigration rules and procedure related to the usual employer visa routes (e.g. Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility, EU Settled Status, Dependants, Youth Mobility etc.)
