If university’s not for you (and it’s not for everyone), why not begin working towards a professional qualification right away?

With the scale and variety of clients we have to work with, no two days are the same at Grant Thornton. So not only will you get all the skills and training you need to become a trusted advisor, joining straight after A-Levels you could qualify a year earlier than those joining as graduates.

What you'll do

Join as an apprentice in either audit, tax or advisory and you’ll start working towards a professional qualification right away. For anyone with A-Level (or equivalent) qualifications, an apprenticeship helps fast track you to qualification whilst you earn, and if you join straight after A-Levels, you can qualify ahead of your peers who go to university.

  • Four or five years of studying, learning and gaining real-work experience.
  • Work at our client sites, helping to provide the insight, advice and expertise they need to grow.
  • Gain cutting-edge skills and knowledge working on a variety of exciting projects.
  • Interact with senior business figures early in your career.
  • Enjoy being part of a dynamic global firm driven by independent thinkers.

Who you'll work with

From fintech and consumer markets, to public sector and not for profit – you’ll work with organisations of different sizes, in different sectors, and in many different countries. Giving you a better understanding of the complete business lifecycle and an exhilarating mix of experiences.

What you'll get out of it

During your five-year programme, you'll study towards several qualifications (under the umbrella of an apprenticeship). And we’re there for you. You’ll need to be focused, committed, and organised as a trainee, to balance your study and work requirements. You will be provided with study leave to help you complete your professional qualification but you will also find you need to study in your spare time outside of your working hours. Completing a professional qualification is a substantial commitment and its worth taking this into consideration before applying.

Who we're looking for

We’ve set ambitious growth targets for the firm, and we need the right people to help us achieve these. We’re looking for people who will bring ambition and drive to their role. In changing markets, we need to be able to work at pace, be adaptable to change and to be curious, asking questions of ourselves, each other and our clients to ensure we are delivering the services and quality we expect.

We’ve got a flexible approach to academic entry requirements, and we’ll consider these alongside your strengths and motivations. We’re looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas and go beyond expectations. People who want to be able to proudly do what’s right, for the firm, our clients, our people and themselves.
