We are delighted to have advised instiHub Analytics Ltd on their sale to Allfunds.

Founded in 2014 by Andreas Pfunder, instiHub is a specialist provider of bespoke data and analytics solutions to the asset management industry, allowing buy and sell side to derive actionable commercial insights.

After being introduced to management in 2021, our corporate finance team advised the shareholders on the 100% sale of the business.

The transaction represents another successful financial services data deal, following the successful sale of FundsLibrary for Hargreaves Lansdown to Broadridge.

We ran a very focussed and targeted sale process with prequalified strategic acquirers who could deliver both the right route to value and the ability to leverage the business and market opportunity.

We secured a number of strong offers for the business through off-market discussions, and then guided the management team through due diligence and legal negotiations, delivering the right partner for the founders and management team at a strategic value for all shareholders.

Testimonial

The choice of Grant Thornton as our M&A adviser was a superb one and I would have no hesitation to doing so again. The team is 100% committed to maximising the value from the transaction to the shareholders, executed in a highly professional way. The team is also very flexible in the support they offer, working collaboratively and creatively with other involved professional service providers to form a ‘Dream Team’ in which Grant Thornton took the lead. I am sure other founders will find their appointment of Grant Thornton highly rewarding.
