There are many reasons why focusing on inclusion and diversity (I&D) is beneficial for your organisation. More importantly for us, however, it's the right thing to do. Watch our Pride month webinar on why I&D is vital for your business.

On 15 June, we held a webinar to celebrate Pride month and all the reasons why we're proud to be a diverse company. Our speakers covered the reasons Pride matters so much and the progress of our own inclusion journey. Watch a full recording of the event below.

Our special guest, Matt Ellison, started the discussion by telling us about his experiences as a transgender man and the difference an inclusive environment can make to people in his position. We were all inspired by Matt's story and kept it in mind while we explored I&D during the rest of the event.

Next, our CEO Dave Dunckley shared why he's so committed to everyday inclusion at Grant Thornton, and what that diversity has meant to those close to him. Our COO, Malcolm Gomersall supported Dave's point by sharing his own emotional response to our team's stories and how the purpose of our policies isn't about winning awards, but supporting real change.

Fayola Francis also spoke about intersectionality throughout our business and her experience as an I&D specialist in our firm. Fayola explained how becoming a diversity champion had been a learning journey for her, but a rewarding one that's allowed her to contribute to our ongoing diversity transformation.

Finally, with these real-world examples of why inclusion is so important in mind, Katie Nightingale shared insights from data we've gathered about how I&D can drive your business forward and how we're helping our clients start their own diversity journey. From staff retention to productivity, I&D brings benefits across your business, as well as being an ethical imperative.
