People and culture

Key challenges post-COVID-19

We were joined by Rajan Brotia, Citibank, N.A. Senior Governance Officer to discuss the impact of remote working on organisations, the wellbeing of employees, and the need to create a positive culture.

Effectiveness of coaching

In this interactive session, we looked at the links between coaching and sustainable business success, as well as the importance of skills development for people managers.

Whistleblowing in a COVID-19 world

Our subject matter expert and Helen Farr, partner at Taylor Wessing Law Firm, considered the need for employees to ‘speak-up’ in the workplace. Having a whistleblowing policy is not enough, firms must create effective forums for their people to raise concerns and report wrongdoing.

The future of information governance

We looked at how existing technology and cyber security capabilities may no longer be sufficient to protect sensitive data, operations, and clients in the current dynamic environment. What can be done to level-up information protection?

Demystifying AI and robotics

We were joined by Professor Christopher Tucci from Imperial College to discuss how AI is changing the world of audit risk and control, and the latest thinking on how to control and manage the risk arising from these technologies.

Data protection: insight and updates

This session looked at what we have learned since GDPR came into force, the common problem areas and some practical solutions.

Regulatory: what do the next 12 months look like?

We considered how the events of this year are forcing the PRA and FCA to adapt fast, adding new priorities and de-prioritising others. We make sense of the ever-changing landscape.

Guidance to support vulnerable customers

We discuss what could be considered a vulnerable customer, both in the eyes of the regulator and the public. Recent events have forced a fundamental re-appraisal of how we see vulnerable customers and how firms should react.

European banking post-Brexit

Hear the thoughts of our regulatory experts and Dr. Oliver Wagner, Senior Partner, Commentum Political Communication on what the UK will look like for banking after Brexit.
