I provide commercial strategy and diligence advice to corporates and private equity clients, with a focus on automotive and business services – although I also have significant experience in corporate travel, media and recruitment. Since 2000, I have worked on over 100 deals ranging in size from £25 million to £1 billion.
Although a consultant for most of my working career, I seconded to the M&A team of British American Tobacco (BAT) in 2010 to work on non-tobacco deals. I also took a role with Glass’s – best known for their used vehicle pricing data – as their head of valuations during 2012-14. Both experiences have given me real insight into client needs, with BAT providing an interesting perspective on how deals are done, whilst Glass’s cemented a deeper understanding of the automotive industry – as well as an appreciation of the issues faced by leaders when making operational changes within a team. Together, these have enabled me to bring a unique perspective to my consulting and deal work, especially in the automotive services space.
Outside of work I have been described as a bit of a thrill-seeker, with my main interests encompassing skydiving, paragliding, speedriding, off-piste skiing, winter mountaineering and motorcycles. However, these are all secondary to indulging my young daughter, who appears to like the same silly things as me.
