I am an experienced adviser having focused on corporate finance and corporate restructuring since 1997. Over the past 20 years I have advised a broad range of clients including owner-managed businesses, large corporates and FTSE100 companies on strategy, acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructuring, managing cash and finance raising. I also spent a year at Corus plc within its M&A team prior to its takeover by Tata. There I worked on a number of transactions across Europe and Asia. It was a great insight into the internal challenge of a large multi-national and the life of a client. Prior to my advisory career, I studied physics and mathematics at Leicester University and qualified as a chartered accountant.

Today I lead a team of 25 advisory people focusing on lead advisory, transaction support and restructuring. Based out of Cambridge, technology remains a core sector as does the food sector with its large number of businesses across the region.

However, with a focus on the central and eastern region, transactions cover all sectors and I have completed recent deals within the food and consumer, financial services, support services, healthcare, technology and care sectors. Transaction are typically in the range of £5 million to £50 million and have often included a cross-border element.  Recent projects include – the sale of Underground Toys, sale of S-Tech Insurance and sale and restructuring of Jas Bowman’s milling business.

I am proud that we been named ‘Team of the Year’ for five consecutive years by the 'Insider' Awards and for three out of four years we have won ‘Deal of the Year’ and ‘Dealmaker of the Year’.

Out of work, I have a fantastic family life with a wife and two kids keeping me busy.  I also enjoy running and can sometimes be seen trying to find my golf ball in the rough on local courses!
