I have over 20 years of Public Private Partnerships experience in the government infrastructure sector. I have a proven track record in delivering complex transactions in the energy and waste sector, taking projects from feasibility studies through to leading negotiations between the public sector, private sector, and banks – in particular taking five projects to financial close in the last five years.
I am now leading our work in the decentralised energy sector supporting ten heat network projects as they progress into commercialisation. I also work closely with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and have co-authored two guides – ‘Economic and Financial case guidance for Local Authorities developing heat network projects’ and ‘Financing Heat Networks in the UK Guidebook’.
I believe that we are at an exciting period of transition within energy markets. Technological advances, combined with changes in the management of energy systems will mean that more individuals, communities and organisations will be able to produce their own energy. I am delighted that we are at the forefront of delivering this step change.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and shepherding my two highly energetic boys, that I am continuously learning from. It is great to see the enthusiasm they bring to their own campaigns to ‘Stop Climate Change’.
