Martin Lambert Partner London +44 (0)20 7728 2363

I have over 30 years’ experience advising corporates on all aspects of UK and international tax. I lead on corporate tax advisory and compliance, as well as having extensive experience identifying tax opportunities in a risk managed way. I have a strong focus on the implications of Brexit for global businesses, developing the firm’s tax governance offerings.

My strong network and experience working with our global member firms enables me to support clients looking to establish and expand their businesses globally. My clients include many FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, large private organisations and major in-bound groups from Europe, Asia-Pac and the Americas.

As a member of the technology, media and telecommunications sector team, I have been analysing the implications for multinational groups of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development – base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) initiative, specifically in respect of Digital Services Taxes (DST) and transparency/reporting. I also work with clients across other industry sectors including defence, real estate and retail.

As a qualified engineer before specialising in tax, I bring my twin passions together leading a number of our largest R&D tax credit projects, covering over £400 million of qualifying spend per annum. In the tax governance and risk management arena I have led teams providing independent reviews of tax policies, procedures and controls at two major UK telcos and one of the world’s largest automotive companies, as well as acting as SME on internal reviews of tax functions for retail, technology and construction sector clients

Outside of work, much of my time is taken up acting as a taxi service to my school-age children, walking, and cooking for friends and family.
