I joined Grant Thornton in 2000 and have more than 30 years' experience, initially leading audit and then transaction services assignments for clients. I have spent my entire career in Birmingham. I lead the transaction advisory team in Birmingham, the south-west and Milton Keynes/Cambridge.
My focus is on leading relationships with my clients, spending time with them to understand their objectives and motivations then supporting them through the deal cycle with pragmatic and commercial advice. My experience covers buy and sell side due diligence, IPO and reporting accountants work, as well as refinancing and strategic options advice. I am also chairman of the trustee board of the firm's defined benefit scheme.
I live in Hagley, south-west Birmingham, and am married with three children, two of whom are grown up and have left home. I am a governor at my youngest daughter's school, enjoy sport, am a keen and dedicated runner and, when time allows, enjoy reading.
