Since graduating with an economics degree, I have built up more than 23 years of experience in advising my clients on what is best for them, what I have enjoyed the most is improving both my clients' knowledge and understanding of their wealth planning.
Typically my role involves working with clients to help them manage their wealth: how to build it, protect it, enjoy it and pass it on to their families. My clients tend to be business owners, those selling businesses, or clients who have come into wealth either through injury, inheritance or lottery.
For me, it's really about spending time with clients to help them plan and achieve what they want from their money, whether this is to provide for now or the future. My specialist area includes advising those with little understanding of how their money can work for them; this helps to take their worries away.
As regional head for the Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham and our Leicester offices, I work with a great team to make sure that we deliver an outstanding client service. We constantly strive to improve what we do and tailor what we deliver. I'm fortunate to work with experienced and talented individuals who make a difference.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling far and wide to experience other cultures and perspectives, while my husband also gets to enjoy the different food there. My most memorable trip so far was working as a volunteer in a slum school, it was great to make a small difference. As PADI-qualified scuba diver, it's great to experience the wonders of the deep and being lost in another world.
