I have been an auditor with the firm since 2006. I spent the first 7 years with the Phoenix office in the US. There I obtained my Certified Public Accountant license and worked with clients in various industries and sectors. I gained experience auditing under the US GAAP framework and audited under AICPA and PCAOB standards. I worked with publicly traded companies and private businesses. For the past 9 years, I have been working in audit in London serving clients across many sectors including energy and natural resources, manufacturing, retail, technology and business support services. I also look after the US Desk from and audit and assurance standpoint, ensuring proper compliance with US GAAP/GAAS requirements as well as collaborating on trans-atlantic opportunities.
On a day to day basis, I will work with clients to complete their audits. This includes providing insights into accounting frameworks and guidance on implementing new policies and procedures for transactions as they arise. I will work with colleagues around the firm on issues surrounding US GAAP and GAAS matters and how they impact their client’s businesses. With my experience working in both US and UK, I can provide insight into the intricacies and requirements in each jurisdiction. For businesses beginning to operate in these jurisdictions, I can help navigate and provide an understanding to the new requirements and regulations they will face.
Outside of the office, I really enjoy cooking and trying new things. I have spent a lot of time learning the proper way to smoke meats and have mastered the art of preparing pulled pork. I also like travelling and seeing new places and spending time with my kids. If I ever get some extra free time, I will hopefully be able to improve my golf game.
