Grant Thornton appoints new Head of Forensic Investigations for the Public Sector

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has strengthened its forensic and investigation services team with the appointment of Barry Dean as Head of Forensic Investigations for the Public Sector.

Dean re-joins the firm where he first qualified as a Chartered Accountant. With over 25 years' experience in investigations, predominantly focusing on the public sector, Dean brings with him a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience covering both local and central government, NHS, social housing and education, both further and higher. He has experience working for regulators, presenting on fraud risks and leading on counter fraud training.

Dean will be responsible for spearheading the growth of forensic investigations in the public sector, building on Grant Thornton's current capabilities and developing the internal audit practice and client base.
