Grant Thornton appoints a new independent non-executive

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has appointed Deena Mattar as a new independent non-executive on their Partnership Oversight Board. 

Deena, a Chartered Accountant, who was Group Finance Director of Kier Group plc, the FTSE 250 Property & Construction Group, has since 2011 served as non-executive director and audit Chairman on a number of boards, both listed and unlisted. She has substantial experience in restructuring, business refinancing and strategic planning. 

Deena has an excellent knowledge of the city and strong relationships with both institutional shareholders and buy and sell side analysts. Her current roles include non-executive director at Wates Group Limited and audit chairman and senior independent director at RM plc.
