Grant Thornton advises on sale of The Capital and The Levin hotels

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP announces it has advised the owners of The Capital Group and The Levin on the sale of the award winning Capital and The Levin hotels to Warwick Hotels and Resorts (Warwick).

Representing two of London's leading luxury boutique hotels in Knightsbridge, Capital and The Levin will become the first London establishments in Warwick's portfolio.

The Grant Thornton corporate finance advisory team, led by Vasu Majumdar and Stephen Baker, ran a streamlined process to identify new owners for these landmark assets, ultimately finding a natural alignment with Warwick's future interests and ambitions.

David Levin MBE, who built and established The Capital Group over the past 50 years, said: "It was a difficult decision to sell, but Warwick Hotels and Resorts is the right company at the right time in this highly competitive London market.  I see this as only positive for all concerned. We're thankful to the Grant Thornton team for its help and support throughout this transaction."

Kate Levin will continue in her role as General Manager, and David Levin MBE becomes consultant to Mr Richard Chiu, President & CEO of Warwick Hotels and Resorts.

Warwick Hotels and Resorts, founded in 1980 by Mr Richard Chiu, comprises of 55 distinguished hotels and resorts with more than 9,000 rooms worldwide.
