During the chat, Polly tells us how volunteering and her journalist background opened doors for her. The conversation turns from writing reviews in a tool magazine to kit out her wood work shop, to caring for an elderly relative for 15 years, and from investigating and litigating against fraudsters, to developing new approaches to data-driven investigations at the SFO.

Polly’s determination, or “nosiness” as she calls it, to dig a little deeper to find out all the facts and her passion for carpentry make interesting listening.
