Investigations and account freezing orders

In 2017 the Criminal Finances Act introduced two new civil recovery tools into criminal law: Asset Freezing and Forfeiture Orders (AFFO) and Unexplained Wealth Orders (UWO). Our speakers looked at the effectiveness of these tools for seizing proceeds of crime and the utilisation of them by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and National Crime Agency (NCA).

Financial crime

In this interactive webinar, our speakers discussed hot topics in financial crime.  Bernard, Lord Hogan-Howe also shared his recent experience of working on the issues faced by firms to comply with their financial crime obligations.

Tackling cyber threats

Our expert speakers shared their insights on what is happening in the market as firms look for a more dynamic and comprehensive approach to tackle evolving cyber threats. We also looked at the interaction between private prosecutions and digital investigations, which has increased in the current circumstances.
