Grant Thornton trailblazer shortlisted for prestigious Asian
Jewel award
Deepak Malhotra, director within the Entrepreneurial Services
team at Grant Thornton has been shortlisted for the prestigious
Lloyds TSB Asian Jewel Awards under the 'Professional Excellence'
category. The category aims to celebrate the success and
achievements of British Asian professionals working within legal,
finance and management professions.

recognition of his continued contribution to the growth of Grant
Thornton's South Asia Group. He has worked hard to develop
practical solutions for clients and they value his dedication and

Awards are recognised as marks of excellence within the South Asian
business community. Deepak being shortlisted is testimony to
his rapid progression within the team."
Malhotra is one of the few tax specialists within a large firm
to specifically advise individuals of South Asian origin and has
significant experience in dealing with their complex domicile
issues.

support and advise successful entrepreneurs on their tax affairs,”
says Malhotra.
Malhotra joined Grant Thornton in 2006 as part of the London
Private Client team. He quickly developed his career within
the firm and was appointed director in January 2009 after being in
the tax profession for only six years. He currently is head
of Grant Thornton's South Asia Group Private Client team and
advises some of the wealthiest Asian families in the UK and the
Indian diaspora. At 33 years old, he is the youngest head of
a department within the South Asia Group.
The awards ceremony will take place on 7th November 2009 at the
Hilton Park Lane, London.
