Keith Hinds (Partner)
Keith works in our Recovery & Reorganisation
Practice across the north of England. He specialises in
providing advice to underperforming and distressed businesses,
their funders and other stakeholders. Keith also has a
particular focus on distressed M&A, refinancing and supporting
the needs of trustee boards of defined benefit pension schemes in
deficit and their sponsoring employers.
Experience
Keith joined us at Grant Thornton in 2004 and has more than 25
years of experience in recovery and reorganisation work.
Keith has considerable experience, dealing with businesses with
debt levels ranging from £0.5m to £130m in single and multi-banked
situations, with turnovers ranging from £1m to £700m. He has
conducted a substantial number of strategic and financial reviews
of larger private and some quoted companies at varying stages of
underperformance, leading to the promotion of change in operations,
management and funding structures.
Over the last three years, Keith has also specialised in the
provision of advice to Trustees and companies with pension scheme
deficits. This has included covenant appraisals of both
public and private companies. It has also involved UK
sponsors with overseas parents, private equity ownership,
refinancing, withdrawal arrangements and sectionalised schemes and
liaison with the Pensions Regulator.
