Apprenticeship Levy

Justin Rix Justin Rix

Improve the skills of staff at all levels, increase productivity and boost growth.

Employers with an annual pay bill over £3 million will have to pay a 0.5% Apprenticeship Levy each month.

This is a cornerstone of the government’s skills agenda, creating a system which puts employers at the heart of designing and funding apprenticeships, including degree and masters qualifications, to support productivity and growth.

Helping your organisation take advantage of the levy

At Grant Thornton, we are already preparing to benefit from the levy. And we can help you do the same.

  • Through our own approach to the levy we will “get more out that we put in” and will be significantly increasing the number of apprentices we take on each year.
  • We will also be developing existing staff through the delivery of role specific qualifications and upskilling people with enhanced leadership and management skills.
  • Aligned to our purpose of shaping a vibrant economy, Grant Thornton and Cranfield University have formed an innovative partnership to bring outstanding executive education to dynamic management teams across the country.
