I have more than 30 years' experience undertaking and supervising financial and non-financial investigations, covering such issues as serious fraud, bribery and insider dealing through to bullying and assault. These have reflected both individual and corporate misbehaviour, and involved working for central government, local government and the private sector, often addressing highly political and sensitive issues.
My work often focuses on interview-based enquiries and governance reviews, and I work closely with clients and advisory lawyers to ensure that any resulting disciplinary, civil recovery or criminal issues are progressed in the most effective way. I also have experience of working with and for regulatory organisations in different fields covering both one-off and high-volume investigatory casework.
Outside of work I have been appointed to provide advisory support to a local authority on any complaints received involving elected members. On a personal level while mountaineering is largely behind me I still like to get out on the hills from time to time.
